Palm Kernel Shells (PKS) are a natural byproduct of the palm oil industry and are rapidly becoming a top choice as a sustainable biomass fuel. Known for their high calorific value and low moisture content, PKS offer an eco-friendly alternative to fossil fuels, supporting green energy initiatives across the globe.
We offer two main grades of Palm Kernel Shells to match different boiler and combustion system requirements:
1. Screened (Premium) PKS
Description: Processed through a screening system to ensure uniform particle size and remove fines (dust) and other impurities.
Advantages: Excellent for automated feeding systems, provides more consistent combustion and energy output. The standard choice for power plants and industrial boilers requiring a clean, homogeneous fuel.
2. Non-Screened (Run-of-Plant) PKS
Description: Supplied directly from the crushing process without additional screening. Contains a natural mix of shell sizes and a small percentage of fines and fibers.
Advantages: More cost-effective. Suitable for plants with simpler feeding mechanisms or those that blend the shells with other biomass.
